Privacy & Cookie Policy
This is a draft describing what the website actually does. It awaits legal review and approval before publication. It was not copied from a template.

Who we are
IDUNN is a trading name. The legal entity is Orthoflex, a licensed medical facility in Dubai Healthcare City, and it is the controller of the personal data this website collects.
The full registered legal form and the healthcare facility licence number will be stated here before publication [TBC-01].
What this page covers — and what it does not
This policy is about this website only: what your browser sends, what cookies are set, and how the appointment request form works.
Your medical record — anything documented about you inside the clinic during a consultation or treatment — is governed by an entirely different framework: the health data protection rules of Dubai Healthcare City, the Dubai Health Authority, and the relevant federal legislation. Your medical record is neither managed through nor stored on this website. For questions about it, contact the clinic directly.
What we collect
What you send us. If you use the appointment request form, you enter your name, your phone number, the department or treatment you are interested in, and optionally a short note. If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to send.
What is collected automatically. Like any website, basic technical information is recorded when you visit: browser and device type, the pages you viewed, and an approximate location at city or country level. This comes from the analytics tool described below.
What we do not collect through this website. We do not ask for any medical information, take any payment, create any account, or request identity or insurance documents online. There are no advertising pixels on this site.
The appointment form and the WhatsApp hand-off
This deserves stating plainly, because it usually surprises people:
The appointment form does not email anything and does not save your request in any database of ours. It takes your selections, builds a ready-written WhatsApp message from them, and opens WhatsApp on your device. Nothing reaches us until you press send inside WhatsApp yourself.
When you do send it, your message travels through WhatsApp (Meta) and is subject to WhatsApp's privacy policy rather than ours. It arrives on the clinic's phone, where reception keeps it for as long as needed to arrange and follow up your appointment.
If you would rather your details did not pass through WhatsApp, call us on +971 4 575 3260 or email info@idunn.ae.
Cookies, and what sets them
This website sets no tracking cookies of its own. The only two parties that can place cookies or similar identifiers are:
| Party | Where | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | All pages | Measures how many people visit, which pages are read, and which contact route is actually used (WhatsApp, phone or email). Property G-HSEV6HV4FR. |
| Embedded Google Map | Contact page only | Shows the clinic's location. Loading the map sets cookies from Google under Google's own policies, outside our control. |
Our fonts are served from our own server rather than Google Fonts, so browsing any page other than Contact makes no connection to Google servers to render the design.
How to stop the analytics
You can prevent Google Analytics in any of these ways:
- Install Google's official opt-out browser add-on
- Enable tracking protection in your browser, or use private browsing
- Clear cookies from your browser settings
Opting out disables no part of this site. Every page and form works exactly the same.
Transfers outside the UAE
Google and Meta are global companies and process data on servers outside the United Arab Emirates. That applies both to website analytics and to WhatsApp messages. Health data documented inside the clinic is subject to the federal restrictions on processing health data outside the country, and never passes through this website.
Your rights
Under UAE personal data protection law you can generally request access to the data we hold about you, correction of anything inaccurate, deletion, restriction of or objection to processing, and withdrawal of your consent.
To exercise any of these, email info@idunn.ae. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
Some rights carry exceptions — medical records in particular are subject to mandatory retention periods that we cannot override, even on a deletion request.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data through it. Treatment of minors at the clinic takes place with the consent of a parent or guardian and under the regulator's rules.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Because the appointment form stores nothing, there is no database of appointment requests that could be breached. That said, no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed, and sensitive medical information should not be sent through a web form or an unencrypted message.
Updates to this policy
We may update this page if the tools the website uses change. Any material change will be published here with the date it was updated.
