Medical Skincare
The routine you will actually keep.
Professionally formulated products at meaningful concentrations, prescribed for your skin — with the guidance that makes them work rather than irritate.
Medical skincare differs from cosmetic products in two ways: the actives are present at concentrations that do something measurable, and somebody who has examined your skin decides which ones you use and in what order.
The second part matters more than the first. Potent actives used wrongly are a reliable way to damage your barrier, and most people who tell us a product "did not work" were using it in a way that guaranteed it would not.
The adjustment period is real
Some formulations cause temporary mild sensitivity, dryness or flaking while your skin adapts. That is expected, it is explained to you in advance, and it is not a reason to stop.
What is a reason to tell us: burning, persistent stinging, spreading redness or a rash. Those are not adjustment, and pushing through them damages the barrier you are trying to improve.
A routine you will keep
The regimen that works is the one you will still be following in three months. A twelve-step routine prescribed to someone with four minutes in the morning is a routine that will be abandoned, and an abandoned routine achieves nothing.
We would rather give you four products you use every day than nine you use inconsistently, and we adjust the plan at follow-up as your skin changes.
The one non-negotiable
Daily broad-spectrum sun protection. In this climate it is not the least important step in a routine; it is the step that determines whether the rest of the routine is worth doing.
Active ingredients used without it, particularly in medium and darker skin, can leave you with more pigmentation than you started with.
